To become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Oklahoma, individuals must complete a state-approved training program of at least 75 hours, which includes a minimum of 16 hours of supervised clinical experience. After completing the training, candidates must pass the Oklahoma Nurse Aide Competency Examination, administered by either Prometric or Headmaster/D&S Diversified Technologies. The licensing body is the Oklahoma State Department of Health, and renewal requires proof of at least 8 hours of paid CNA work within the past 24 months. Oklahoma also offers reciprocity for out-of-state CNAs.
