To become a licensed Massage Therapist in Indiana, applicants must complete a minimum of 625 hours of supervised classroom instruction from an approved massage therapy program and pass the Massage & Bodywork Licensing Examination (MBLEx) or other board-approved exam. They must also be at least 18 years old, of good moral character, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, obtain professional liability insurance, and complete a criminal background check. Indiana offers licensure by endorsement for those licensed in other states with comparable requirements.
