To become a licensed Real Estate Agent in Louisiana, individuals must complete a 90-hour pre-licensing course and pass the Louisiana Real Estate Salesperson Exam. The licensing body is the Louisiana Real Estate Commission (LREC). Additionally, applicants must be at least 18 years old, possess a high school diploma or GED, pass a background check, obtain Errors and Omissions (E&O) insurance, and complete a 45-hour post-license course within 180 days of licensure.
