Currently, Pennsylvania does not have a state-level licensing requirement for Radiology Technologists; however, most employers require certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). To become ARRT certified, individuals must complete an accredited radiologic technology program, typically an Associate's degree, and pass the ARRT Radiography Examination. While there is no state license, a bill was introduced in July 2024 (SB 1281) that would require licensure for medical imaging professionals in Pennsylvania.
