To become a CDL Truck Driver in Wyoming, you must obtain a Commercial Learner's Permit (CLP) from the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) by passing knowledge tests and a vision screening. After holding the CLP for at least 14 days and completing FMCSA-approved Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT), you can take the CDL skills test. The skills test costs $85, and the CDL application fee is $55, with the license valid for four years. A valid DOT medical certificate is required, and applicants must be at least 18 for intrastate driving or 21 for interstate driving.
