To become a licensed Insurance Agent in Delaware, individuals must be at least 18 years old and pass the Delaware Insurance Producer Licensing Exam. Delaware offers reciprocity with all other states, allowing licensed non-residents to obtain a Delaware license without re-taking the exam, provided their home state extends similar courtesy to Delaware residents. Licenses must be renewed every two years, requiring 24 hours of continuing education, including 3 hours of ethics.
